2003 mini cooper cvt trans problems?

well my car has started acting up but i dont think the trans fluid has been changed before it high revs going about 45-65 mph like its slipping even from take off. and i unscrewed the trans drain screw a little so it barely drips and shined a flash light on it and it looked to be like microscopic metal particles, but im just hoping it was air bubbles but it only starts to act up after it warms up real good.. and as soon as i start it up and put it in drive a get on it while using the slap shift shiftin to 2 it high revs and stays in first for a second like it doesnt want to shift right away.. and jumps and stuff hope its just time for a fluid flush and new trans fluid in it
