My baby bird has a gaping hole in its neck , its not bleeding , its just open. What should i do ?

I found this baby bird in the middle of the road , i took it home and fed it with baby bird formula , i noticed when it sticks its neck out the transparent skin is open . theres a hole in its neck , Im scared that its going to die overnight , it eats just fine though . Can you please help ?
