How to fix a bent bmx bikes rim?

ok so today me and one of my friends thought it would it be funny to let some air out of my friends bike and we only let out a little so he did not notice but then he did a bunny hop and bent the rim like a microscopic bend and he is flipping out because its a new $850 bmx bike and he is my real good friend so i want to do what ever but i dont have money so doi need to get him a new $200 rim or can i take it to my local bike shop and get it fixed for cheaper
